PM Narendra Modi’s speech comes at a time when the country’s Covid cases are on the decline
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 5 PM today. The Prime Minister’s speech comes as Covid cases in the country are on the decline following a devastating second wave in April-May.
“Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi will address the nation at 5 PM today, 7th June,” the Prime Minister’s Office said on Twitter.
The Prime Minister is highly likely to speak on the current Coronavirus crisis in the country, since several states have already begun the process of unlocking.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, Prime Minister Modi has addressed the country several times, providing advice and describing the steps his administration is doing to address the crisis.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s daily new COVID-19 cases fell sharply on Monday, with the country recording 1,00,636 new cases.
The number of active cases has dropped to 14,01,609, accounting for 4.85% of all infections in the country.
