Shah Rukh Khan is all geared up for a comeback with his new flick ‘Pathaan’ set for release in January 2023
It’s been a while since Bollywood’s Badshah was seen on screen. To be precise, it was in 2018 that Shah Rukh Khan or SRK as he is known as, was last seen in film. The film ‘Zero’, which was directed by Aanand L Rai, had Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma as his co-stars.
The absence from mainstream movies in Bollywood had come about unexpected, and it had proved to be a big disappointment for his fans. Now after a long gap, SRK is all set for a comeback.
The actor himself has announced the news of his next on screen, by making an official announcement about his upcoming project ‘Pathaan’. Shah Rukh Khan, who has a huge fan following in social media, took to the virtual space to announce the details of his comeback movie.
Shah Rukh Khan shares ‘Pathaan’ teaser
Shah Rukh Khan shared a teaser of the film ‘Pathaan’ featuring his co-stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, on his social media handles. He has also proclaimed that film will release in theatres across the country on January 25, 2023. Now, that means the release of Pathaan would coincide with the Republic Day celebration of year 2023.
In his social media post, Shah Rukh Khan has said: I know it’s late… But remember the date… Pathaan time starts now… See you in cinemas on 25th January, 2023.
Set to arrive in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages, Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand. The flick is expected to be an action thriller. Though the teaser released has John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, SRK is somehow missing. The teaser has Deepika Padukone and John Abraham drop hints on SRK’s character, but we will have to wait a bit more to know all about it. The makers of the movies are yet to reveal SRK’s look in the flick, and it looks like it would stay under wraps for some more time.
Fans excited as SRK is set for comeback
The announcement of the film has already triggered much anticipation, though the release date is still way off. Fans are an excited lot already with they having got to know that their favourite is actor is gearing up for a comeback.
Yet another exciting aspect about Pathaan would be that Salman Khan would make a cameo appearance in Pathaan. Apart from Pathaan, Shah Rukh is also expected to star in a handful more of films this year, and that would include cameo roles in R Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, and Salman’s ‘Tiger 3’. His other big releases would be the films that are to be made by Atlee Kumar and Rajkumar Hirani very soon.
