Jawan has added much excitement among fans post the success of SRK’s Pathaan.
There’s no writing off the King Khan. Bollywood’s most successful Badshah has been on a roll ever since Pathaan hit the silver screen.
The high-decibel backlash, the hate mongering and all those negative stuff manufactured by the right wing activists proved to be just a damp squid as the Shah Rukh Khan- Deepika Padukone-starrer Pathaan raced from records to more records every single day since release.
Pathaan’s success has established the flawed manner in which the right wing has been going about in its modus operandi of hate mongering. The film has grown beyond blockbuster success with cinema houses running full wherever it is being screened.
The success of Pathaan has prompted yet another movie, titled Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The film made by south’s famed film maker Atlee, is much anticipated, after having triggered expectations of more action and drama on screen.
Wait to continue as Jawan set for October
The film, we now hear, has been postponed. The film, which is set to be SRK’s second big release this year, was scheduled for a June release. But now, it is being revealed that audiences may have to wait a bit more to watch it in theatres.
Though there had been speculation that film was being considered for a delay in release, no official confirmation had come about on that front. However, trade expert Ramesh Bala dropped hints that Jawan is of course being postponed, and that it could have a date of release in October.
Tweeting the info, Bala has said that Atlee ‘s Jawan release is being pushed from June to October,” he tweeted. If it is true, it could be likely that Jawan could either eye the Gandhi Jayanti weekend or the Dussehra weekend, which falls on October 24 (Tuesday). We will have to wait for the official announcement.
Jawan, like Pathaan, is expected to be an out and out thriller and is said to have Shah Rukh Khan in a double role. Earlier, SRK himself had revealed that Jawan is a universal tale that transcends languages and geographies. The actor had showered praise on director Atlee for making such a unique film.
Big names in the cast
The film also stars big names such as Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover. As if to double the excitement, the grapevine has it that south Indian super star Vijay appears in a cameo too.
Post success of Pathaan, SRK is seen as adding much more thrills with Jawan. Besides, he will also be seen in Raju Hirani’s Dunki. The film is scheduled for release in December this year.
