Aphasia forces Bruce Willis to step aside

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma, ex-wife Demi Moore, and daughters Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel, and Evelyn, said in the statement that, “As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that”.

Aphasia is a condition that affects a person’s ability to speak, write and understand language. The hassle occurs suddenly after a stroke or a head injury but can also come on gradually from a slow-growing brain tumor or a disease that causes progressive, permanent damage.

Bruce Willis, better known for his role in the immensely popular flick ‘Die Hard’, is an actor who has legions of fans worldwide. He was diagnosed with aphasia soon after he celebrated his 67th birthday.

Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore have remained friends since divorce. They have three daughters together – Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.  Demi Moore, Bruce Willis and their daughters had quarantined together during the coronavirus pandemic. Bruce Willis had remarried in 2009 to Emma Hemming, and the couple have two young daughters, Mabel and Evelyn.

Bruce Willis had begun his acting career during the early 1980s, and most of his screen appearances were uncredited roles. Later on, he came under the limelight with a starring role opposite Cybill Shepherd in the ABC series Moonlighting.  It was Die Hard that catapulted him to the peak, and since then, he hasn’t looked back.

Die Hard is Bruce Willis’ most popular flick

His role as John McClane in Die Hard, the 1988 action movie, gave Willis his first major film franchise. He has been a permanent presence in Hollywood since then and after four decades of this career in acting, Bruce Willis has been able to keep fans engaged every time he appeared on screen.

He was also nominated for five Golden Globes and won one for Moonlighting. Three Emmy’s nominations have also come his way, of which he won for Moonlighting and another for his guest appearance in the immensely popular Friends.
