Hiring Ground Reporter/Journalist

Location: Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad

Digpu News, a leading digital news publisher, is seeking experienced and dynamic individuals to join our team as Ground Reporters/Journalists. The successful candidates will be responsible for covering daily news stories and events in their specified regions, including political and non-political events, press conferences, public interviews, and public grievances. They will also be expected to produce high-quality videos and multimedia content from the ground, showcasing strong storytelling skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover daily news stories and events in the assigned regions.
• Develop high-quality videos and multimedia content.
• Conduct public interviews and cover public grievances.
• Cover press conferences and important news events.
• Meet shooting, editing, and production deadlines consistently.
• Research information online and from relevant news sources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of prior experience in journalism.
• Strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
• Good on-camera presenting and reporting skills.
• Fair knowledge of video editing.
• Academic credentials in journalism or related field preferred.
• Extensive experience in broadcast journalism preferred.
• Knowledge of current political, economic, and social conditions in India.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in evaluating and presenting news.
• Video production skills and proficiency in online and social media utilization.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
