US Embrace of ‘Genocidal’ Israeli PM Exposes Brutal Face of Western Politics, Says Iran
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani condemns the US for supporting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu amid ongoing atrocities in Gaza.
Kan’ani criticizes American and European leaders’ human rights rhetoric as hollow, highlighting the severe violations of Palestinian rights and the slaughter of children in Gaza and the West Bank.
In a strongly worded statement on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan’ani condemned the United States’ human rights claims as hollow and hypocritical. Posting on the X social media platform, Kan’ani criticized the US for hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing it as a blatant disregard for the ongoing atrocities in the Gaza Strip.
“Having committed genocide and infanticide for nine consecutive months, the criminal prime minister of a fake regime is hugged and embraced by his supporters. And this is how the brutal and malevolent face of the US politics is exposed to the entire world after decades of deceitful efforts of the Western civilization to portray itself with an innocent and humane face become futile,” Kan’ani wrote.
Kan’ani accused the US of supporting a regime responsible for “nine months of genocide and infanticide” in Gaza, highlighting that the welcoming of Netanyahu by American Congressmen exposes the violent reality behind America’s political facade. He argued that this action undermines the decades-long efforts by Western civilization to present an innocent and humane image to the global community.
“The slogan of human rights is now the most ludicrous phrase heard from the American and European leaders. The natural rights of the Palestinians such as the rights to life, enjoyment of security, access to water, food, medicine, healthcare, and more are being trampled on in the most horrific manner before the eyes of the globe in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The Palestinian children are being slaughtered on a daily basis by the Tel Aviv butchers,” Kan’ani added.
The senior Iranian diplomat criticized American lawmakers for their support of Netanyahu, pointing out the severe violations of basic human rights in Palestine. He emphasized that the people of Palestine are being denied essential rights such as life, security, access to water, food, medicine, and medical treatment. Kan’ani condemned the ongoing slaughter of Palestinian children by what he termed the “Tel Aviv butcher regime.”
“Now, before all these crimes and murders, the US Government and Congress are welcoming this executioner with clap and ovation after ovation. Shame is the smallest word for this fiasco,” Kan’ani stated.
Kan’ani’s remarks come in the context of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which escalated dramatically on October 7. On that day, Hamas launched a significant operation against Israel in response to what it described as intensified Israeli atrocities against Palestinians. Following this, Israel initiated a brutal offensive on Gaza, imposing a comprehensive siege on the densely populated territory. This blockade has resulted in severe shortages of fuel, electricity, food, and water for over two million Palestinians living in Gaza.
The situation in Gaza remains dire, with the international community divided over the response to the conflict and the humanitarian crisis. Kan’ani’s statements underscore the deepening rift between Iran and the US over their respective positions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and human rights issues.
