Rahul Gandhi alleged that the BJP-led Central government shut down all institutions and is now forced to live a lie

Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader and Member of Parliament, on Monday, said that the biggest defense against the COVID-19 pandemic is transparency and truth.

The Congress leader said that if the various institutions were taken on board before making decisions, then the crisis situation of the COVID-19 pandemic would have been dealt with efficiently.

He alleged that the BJP-led Central government shut down all institutions and is now forced to live a lie.

“The single biggest defense against COVID is transparency & truth. If our institutions are listened to by the govt, then they have the capacity to guide us through this crisis. What the govt has done is shut down all institutions, they are forced to live a lie,” Rahul Gandhi said.

On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi hit out at the government alleging that its “secret ministry for lies and empty slogans” is the most efficient.

Gandhi has been critical of the BJP government and has accused it of engaging in just rhetoric.

His party colleague and senior leader Jairam Ramesh also hit out at the government, alleging that it has taken a different stand in the Supreme Court and at the latest G7 summit over the issue of Coronavirus vaccines.

“To G7, He says- ‘One Earth, One Health’, asking for patent waiver for Covid-19 vaccines. In Supreme Court, his govt takes a completely different stance. Does not invoke compulsory licensing,” he alleged on Twitter, targeting the Prime Minister Modi.

“One stance for the world, another in India. Why this ‘anarth’ (absurdity),” he asked.
