Farah Khan was involved in shooting for the reality TV show ‘Zee Comedy Show,’ where she appeared as a judge.
Mumbai: Film producer-choreographer Farah Khan revealed on Wednesday that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 56-year-old filmmaker communicated via an Instagram post,
“Despite being double vaccinated and working with mostly double vaxxed people, I have still managed to test positive for COVID. I have already informed everyone I came in contact with to get tested,”
“However, if I have forgotten someone (because of old age and fading memory), please test yourself. Hoping to recover soon,” she further said.
Singer Mika Singh to replace Farah Khan
Farah Khan was involved in shooting for the reality TV show “Zee Comedy Show,” where she appeared as a judge. Singer Mika Singh will reportedly replace Farah on the show till she recovers completely.
Khan also performed on “Super Dancer 4″ as a guest and was one of the judges alongside Shilpa Shetty, Geeta Kapoor, and Anurag Basu. She also reportedly filmed an episode of “Kaun Banega Crorepati 13″ for a Friday special.
Called a breakthrough infection
This is a rare case of infection even after two jabs. It is possible that Farah Khan might not have taken more precautions.
In an article titled, ‘Can you test COVID positive after getting fully vaccinated,’ The Indian Express wrote, “In March, Punjab reported eight such cases where one tested positive after the first dose of the vaccine. A Gujarat health official tested positive even after the second dose of the vaccine. Similar occurrences were reported in Pune, where two doctors tested positive even after the second dose.”
According to the CDC website, “The COVID-19 vaccines authorized in the United States are highly effective at preventing severe disease and death, including against the Delta variant. But they are not 100% effective, and some fully vaccinated people will become infected (called a breakthrough infection) and experience illness.
Farah is an Indian film producer-director, actress, dancer, and choreographer who works predominantly in Hindi movies.
