Randeep Surjewala says ‘No one can silence the Annadata’s voice’

He added the opposition parties, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, will continue to fight till the ‘black’ farm laws are repealed.

NEW DELHI — Randeep Surjewala, General Secretary of Indian National Congress and Member of Congress Working Committee, took a dig at the Centre and stated that no force has been able to suppress the voice of farmers.

The Congress leader Surjewala, in a tweet, said that history is a witness for ‘no one could suppress the voice of the Annadata.’

He added that all the Opposition parties and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will continue until they get rid of the ‘black’ agriculture laws.

Questions relation between medical oxygen and national interest

In another tweet, he discussed the denial of information by the Centre about the management of medical oxygen in response to an activist’s Right to Information (RTI) application.

He quizzed the Centre, asking why the information of oxygen supply was also affecting the national interest.

Randeep Surjewala slams Centre for renaming Khel Ratna Award

Earlier, Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the Modi government did not know how to draw a big line. As per him, PM Modi keeps trying to erase the lines of others while referring to renaming Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award after Hockey great Dhyan Chand.

On the one hand, the players’ budget is cut, but the ruling party keeps renaming such things in the country, Surjewala lamented.

‘Don’t want Major Dyan Chand’s name to be dragged into politics’

Randeep Surjewala, however, said that whatever will be named after Major Dhyan Chand, Indian National Congress was there to welcome him.

Congress welcomes to pay respect to Major Dhyan Chand, as per the Congress leader. Although, it would have been better, as per Surjewala, if BJP and PM Modi did not drag the name of Major Dhyan Chand for their ‘petty’ political purposes.

Slamming the Centre, he dared PM Modi to change the names of stadiums and other government schemes after the country’s sportspersons.

He asked the BJP-led Central government to change the names of Narendra Modi Stadium and Arun Jaitley Stadium after sportsmen like Milkha Singh.

‘Rajiv Gandhi continues to be a hero’

According to Randeep Singh Surjewala, Rajiv Gandhi was, is, and will be the hero for the country.

“Awards do not know rajiv Gandhi, but for his martyrdom, ideas, and as the architect of modern India,” the leader said while remembering the country’s former prime minister.
