Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ Commences, Covering 6,700 Kilometers Across 15 States

Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi’s 66-Day March Aims for Social and Political Justice, Targets Key Lok Sabha Constituencies.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,’ marking the beginning of his country-wide march in the run-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The yatra, which started from Nyay Maidan in Khongjom, Thoubal, is the second of its kind following his Bharat Jodo Yatra from Tamil Nadu to Jammu and Kashmir last year.

Details of the Yatra:

The yatra, scheduled to last approximately 66 days, will traverse over 6,700 kilometres, spanning 15 states. The custom-made Volvo bus, unveiled by Mallikarjun Kharge, is designed to facilitate the journey and features a hydraulic lift for Rahul Gandhi to address crowds along the route.

Political Objective

Mallikarjun Kharge emphasized that the yatra is dedicated to achieving “social and political justice for all Indian citizens.” The journey is strategically planned to cover 100 Lok Sabha seats, focusing on 58 seats in Hindi-speaking states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Rajasthan. Notably, the route includes significant constituencies like Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Varanasi, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Allahabad, Phulpur, and Lucknow.

Conclusion

Scheduled to conclude in Mumbai in the third week of March, Rahul Gandhi‘s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is poised to be a crucial political endeavour. The participation of key allies and the yatra’s resonance among the Indian public will likely shape its impact on the political landscape as the Lok Sabha elections draw nearer.
