Bikaner Doctor Faces ₹25 Lakh Extortion Threat, Gang Demands Monthly ‘Protection Fee

Bikaner – Dr. Shyam Agrawal, a well-known paediatrician in Bikaner, has filed a police complaint after receiving threats of extortion demanding ₹25 lakh in a one-time payment and ₹1 lakh as “protection money” per month. This terrible story has sent shockwaves across the medical community in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
According to the FIR filed at Naya Shahar Police Station, the incident occurred around 1:45 AM on July 24. Vishnu Saadh, Abhishek Panwar, and a few unidentified men went to Dr. Agrawal’s clinic near Jassusar Gate. The gang warned Dr. Agrawal that he would face serious consequences if he didn’t meet their financial demands.
Dr. Agrawal has said that he has video and audio recordings from CCTV cameras that show the event and the threats made against him. During the police enquiry, he gave these things as vital evidence.

After the complaint, a group of local doctors met with Kavendra Singh Sagar, the Bikaner Superintendent of Police, on Monday to seek quick and harsh action against the culprits. The SP has told SHO Vikram Tiwari to start a full investigation. Head Constable Pancharam is in charge of the investigation.
This isn’t the first time these criminals have targeted people in the area. Before this incident, the Rohit Godara gang had reportedly threatened local banker Piyush Shangari. The repeated threats have raised serious concerns about organized extortion networks reemerging in Bikaner.
