Union Minister Santosh Gangwar and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal resigned
Union Minister Santosh Gangwar and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal resigned on Wednesday from the Union Cabinet before the reshuffle this evening.
Santosh Gangwar, the former Minister of State for Labor and Employment, resigned this morning.
When asked by media persons if he had resigned as a minister, Santosh Gangwar replied in the affirmative.
“Yes, I have resigned,” he told the media, adding that he was not aware of what his new role in government would be.
This is the first change in the Council of Ministers of the Prime Minister since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took charge for a second term in May 2019.
It should be noted that the expansion of the Central cabinet is scheduled to take place at 6 PM today.
