Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday said the when he was infected with the COVID-19 during the first wave of infections in the country, he turned to Yoga and did regular exercises which helped him become ‘healthy’ again.

“I also got Corona infection during the first wave and I am also diabetic. I continued doing Yoga regularly at that time. I continued to do all the tasks of daily practice and it was a result of this that I recovered and became healthy,” CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a tweet.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan went on to say, “In a rhythmic way, Pranayama, pure Pranavayu, brings power to you. It also reduces negativity. I myself observe Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Anulom-Vilom, Udder Shakti Vikas, and Bhramari every day along with the whole family.”

While thanking Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Baba Ramdev, Shivraj Singh said that there was a time when the positive rate was 24% but now it is around 5%. “We have to adopt the ancient method. I myself have benefited from this. Revered gurudev @SriSri and Yoga guru @yogrishiramdev, heartfelt gratitude for giving your time to the program of Yoga,” Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.

Under the Yoga for Health program, the Yoga instructors and recuperated patients in home isolation interacted with Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan and within themselves.

Mrs. Khairunnisa Prithani from Khandwa, during the interaction, said that she is doing Yoga continuously and she feels very good. Despite being a diabetic for 15 years, she fought courageously and defeated Corona.

“Surendra ji said that after getting Yoga training, he benefited while being infected with Covid. They were trained with PDF files and videos and now he has been found negative in the second report. Now, he will continuously do Yoga and inspire others as well,” another tweet said.

Jayashree Thackeray from Balaghat said that after being positive on May 11, she got herself home isolated and underwent treatment. With this, she took Yoga training on Zoom application. She said that you can be healthy only by doing Yoga during this pandemic.

Yoga, one of the six orthodox philosophical schools of Hinduism, is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India.
