Mission Shakti:Anti-Satellite Missile Successfully Launched In Low Earth Orbit

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the success of ‘Mission Shakti’ today at around 12:30 pm. The Mission is a significant one since it has brought to light the technological advancement and manufactural prowess of India.
#MissionShakti is special for 2 reasons:
(1) India is only the 4th country to acquire such a specialised & modern capability.
(2) Entire effort is indigenous.

Under Mission Shakti, India has successfully shot a live Low Earth Orbit Satellite by an Anti-Satellite(ASAT) Missile from 300 Km away in just 3 minutes.

The Mission Shakti has been carried out by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) India. It was a complete success wherein all the targets of the mission have been achieved.
