Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the success of ‘Mission Shakti’ today at around 12:30 pm. The Mission is a significant one since it has brought to light the technological advancement and manufactural prowess of India.

Under Mission Shakti, India has successfully shot a live Low Earth Orbit Satellite by an Anti-Satellite(ASAT) Missile from 300 Km away in just 3 minutes.

The Mission Shakti has been carried out by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) India. It was a complete success wherein all the targets of the mission have been achieved.

In a bid to make India a super space power, the Indian research and development agencies have played a major role. Also, one of the major striking features is that the Anti-Satellite Missile launched in the mission has been manufactured in India.
