BJP’s Gaurav Bhatia should immediately apologize to the people of Rajasthan: CM Gehlot

CM Gehlot said Gaurav Bhatia did indecent remarks on late Shish Ram Ola

Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, on Saturday said that he strongly opposed the BJP national spokesman Gaurav Bhatia’s statements on Late Shish Ram Ola while demanding an apology from the BJP politician.

According to the Rajasthan CM, the late Shish Ram Ola protected the interests of farmers by staying in the social and political field for more than 60 years.

“He was a cabinet minister several times in both the Central and state governments. In 1968, he received the Padma Shri award for social service,” Mr. Ashok Gehlot said.

Asking the Bhartiya Janata Party’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda to demand an apology from Gaurav Bhatia, he said, “I condemn the remarks made by BJP’s national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia on Mr. Ola.”

“This has created great resentment among the people of the state,” Mr. Ashok tweeted while tagging BJP National President JP Nadda, asking for an immediate apology to the people of Rajasthan.

Gaurav Bhatia is the target of Congressmen for his indecent remarks on the late Shish Ram Ola.

Actually, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia had participated in a TV channel as a BJP representative in the debate of Modi cabinet expansion. During this, Bhatia made his remarks by giving the example of the cabinet expansion of the then UPA government and former Union minister late Shish Ram Ola.

He said, “In June 2013, 85-year-old Shish Ram Ola ji was included in the expansion of the Congress cabinet. For those whose parts were shaken, Manmohan Singh ji was looking for energy. For us, the public interest is paramount, and keeping that in mind, this cabinet has been expanded with young people being inducted.”

The video of this part of the TV debate was later shared by Bhatia through his official Twitter handle.
