Arafat Mohideen Bhat – The sensational rap kid from Pulwama

In this regard, his uncle Hilal Ahmad says, “He made his own video which I watched later. I felt that his passion had reached the point of insanity and he wanted to make a name for himself in it. Then I helped him and I am trying to give him full support.”

“I am happy that my nephew is getting love from the people for his singing. He is now more focussed and working hard to reach his goals. We will keep supporting him,” Hilal said.

Arafat is studying in a private school where he rarely gets involved in rap or other non-teaching activities apart from his studies, but the young boy learned the art of singing through Internet.

Although his parents are educating Arafat to make a living, they want to witness their son’s singing skills improve and see him as a rap star.

Speaking to DigPu, Arafat said, “I want to be a famous rap star. I am very impressed to hear the song of a Mumbai rapper. I want to be like them.”

He further said, “I want to be on a bigger platform now. I want to show people that Kashmiris also have talent.”

Interestingly, he has advice for young people. “Youngsters should hone their skills and do what they like the most. They should not be bogged down by any criticism,” he says.
