JKSSB prepones exam for Accounts Assistant posts

Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on Friday rescheduled the examination for the posts of Accounts Assistant (Panchayat) in view of the NET exam.

Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on Friday rescheduled the examination for the posts of Accounts Assistant (Panchayat) in view National Eligibility Test (NET) exam.

According to earlier notification issued by the Board, it had scheduled the exam on November 11, but now it has been rescheduled to November 10.

A notification issued in this regard reads, “Whereas, representations have been received from the candidates that the UGC is also conducting the National Eligibility Test (NET) examination in the subjects of Sociology and Computer Sciences on the same date and requested for a change in the date of examination.”

“Whereas, representations are also received from candidates mentioning that they have forgotten their online application form number and as such are unable to download their Admit Cards; and whereas, the matter has been examined by the Board and taking in view the interest of students at large, following decisions have been taken by the Board,” the notification stated.

The recruitment Board said that the OMR based objective type written examination for the post of Accounts Assistant (Panchayat) has been preponed and now it shall be held on 10.11.2020 (Tuesday) from 12.00 Noon to 2.00 PM instead of 11.11.2020 at the same examination centres.

The candidate who has already downloaded his / her admit card or hall ticket is eligible to appear in the examination on the same admit card / hall ticket on rescheduled date i.e. 10.11.2020.

The fresh link has also been provided on the official website of the Services Selection Board and if the candidate so desires, he / she can also download the fresh admit card / hall ticket.

Online Application Form number of candidates & Date of Birth of the candidate (as filled by them in the online application form) shall also be sent to the candidates through SMS service on their registered mobile number for facilitating the downloading of their admit card in case they are facing any difficulty in downloading it.

A dedicated helpline number has been established by the Services Selection Board to answer the queries of the candidates which shall function from 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM on the working days. Candidates are advised to contact the following dedicated helpline numbers for any clarification: 0191-2470017 (Jammu) & 0194-2435089 (Srinagar).
