UP Prepares for God Ram Ceremony: Liquor Ban, School Closure, and Multilingual Signage on January 22

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Declares Holiday, Stresses Cleanliness and Hospitality for Historic 'Pran Pratishtha' Event.

In light of the monumental ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Mandir, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared January 22 a holiday in schools and colleges across the state, terming the occasion a ‘national festival.’ Emphasizing the emotional significance of the event, the Chief Minister also called for the closure of liquor shops on the special day.

During a meeting with officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra in Ayodhya, CM Yogi directed comprehensive arrangements for the Vedic rituals, highlighting the need for heightened hospitality for dignitaries attending the consecration ceremony. To accommodate the anticipated influx of global devotees post-January 22, he instructed the installation of multilingual signage throughout Ayodhya, promoting cleanliness and public cooperation.

With an eye on the historic event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the tent city, ensuring proper arrangements and stressing the importance of cleanliness. He called for expanded night shelters to provide warmth to those seeking refuge in Dharmanagari, emphasizing the Relief Commissioner’s role in ensuring necessary arrangements.

In preparation for the ceremony, CM Yogi urged the development of a robust action plan for parking and traffic management, ensuring ample facilities and organized transportation for visitors. As the nation eagerly anticipates the ‘Pran Pratishtha‘ of God Ram, the CM’s directives aim to make the event a source of joy, pride, and self-satisfaction for millions of Sanatan believers.
