Delhi CM Kejriwal’s legal battle intensifying due to the extension of his custody by the ED until April 1st

Delhi Chief Minister's Wife Hints at Explosive Revelations Amid Allegations of Political Conspiracy.

New Delhi, 28 April, 2024: In a significant development in the ongoing legal saga surrounding Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has extended his custody under the Enforcement Directorate (ED) until April 1. The decision came after the ED sought a seven-day extension on Kejriwal’s custody in connection with the now-defunct liquor policy case. Arvind Kejriwal, who was present in court, denounced the situation as a “political conspiracy,” asserting that the public would respond appropriately to such tactics.

The courtroom was abuzz with anticipation as Kejriwal’s appearance coincided with his wife, Sunita Kejriwal’s statement hinting at a forthcoming exposé on the alleged liquor policy scam. Both Atishi and Sunita Kejriwal were present during the remand hearing. The legal drama surrounding Kejriwal escalated further with the Delhi High Court dismissing a plea seeking his removal from the post of Delhi’s Chief Minister, citing a lack of judicial grounds for intervention.

Meanwhile, tensions escalated on the political front as AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to entice AAP MLAs with monetary offers, enhanced security, and even parliamentary seats. These allegations added fuel to the already heated political climate in the capital.

In response to the unfolding events, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) addressed concerns raised by the United States regarding the legal proceedings against Kejriwal. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal condemned the remarks as unwarranted, asserting that any external interference in India’s electoral and legal processes was unacceptable.

Adding to the drama, Sunita Kejriwal expressed concern over her husband’s health, stating that he was not keeping well and was facing harassment. She asserted that such oppression would not endure, and the people would respond fittingly to the situation.

Press Conference by AAP Leader Atishi:

The extension of Kejriwal’s custody has not only intensified the legal battle but also sparked political ramifications. The Delhi Congress chief, Arvinder Singh Lovely, announced plans for a rally on March 31, emphasizing its significance in safeguarding democracy. He revealed that top leaders of the INDIA bloc would address the rally, aiming to resonate its message not only in Delhi but across the nation.

As the legal proceedings continue and political tensions escalate, all eyes remain fixed on the unfolding developments surrounding Arvind Kejriwal, whose fate seems increasingly entwined with the intricate dynamics of Indian politics.
