AIBRF, Dharwad donates 12 artificial limbs to the physically challenged
Mahaveer Limb Centre has been tirelessly organizing ‘Free Limb Camps’ in several states of South India giving artificial limbs, along with food, accommodation and medicines, to the poor.
The members of the All India Bank Retirees Federation (AIBRF) donated 12 artificial limbs to the physically challenged at the Mahaveer Limb Centre in Hubli.
On this occasion, Mr. Mahendra Singhi, President of Mahavir Limb Centre thanked the retired bank employees and urged people to come forward to donate for a good cause.
Mr Singhi said, “The main aim of Mahaveer Limb Centre is the physical, economical and social rehabilitation of the people who have lost their limbs due to various causes.”
He added, “The entire expense for all these projects is borne by the All India Jain Youth Federation Hubballi, by means of generous donations from members and philanthropists.”
Mahaveer Limb Centre donates artifical limbs
All India Jain Youth Federation Hubli is a social organization established by a group of like-minded youth with the primary goal of serving society, irrespective of caste, creed, and color.
In 1995, under the All India Jain Youth Federation, Mahaveer Limb Centre, the only NGO in North Karnataka, was instituted to provide yeoman services for the rehabilitation of physically challenged compatriots by giving artificial limbs, crutches, calipers, tricycles, free of cost.
