All set for the Academy Awards; Presenters’ list ready

The world has been waiting to watch the Academy Awards ceremony for long now. And the day has finally arrived. In a few hours from now the Oscars will be presented, and film buffs around the world will have a gala time.

The 94th Academy Awards presentations will get underway at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 27, 2022. Apart from the nominations, film enthusiasts, as they do every year, have been waiting to know who will form the galaxy of presenters on the stage.

The Academy has now announced the sixth round of presenters, and the prominent names in the list are Josh Brolin, Jacob Elordi, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Momoa, Jill Scott, J.K. Simmons, Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Rachel Zegler.

Academy Awards presenters list includes Rachel Zegler

The inclusion of Rachel Zegler in the list of presenters have come as a relief to thousands of the actress’ fans. Earlier, the omission of the ‘West Side Story’ actress had created much of a furore among fans, as Zegler’s film had received several nods.

Now with Zegler being included, the actress has said she has been lefte stunned at the decision. On knowing of her inclusion in the list of presenters, Zelger tweeted: “Well folks, I can’t believe I’m saying this but… see you on Sunday! The absolutely incredible team at @Disney and our Snow White producers worked some real-life magic, and I am thrilled to be able to celebrate my @westsidemovie fam at the Oscars.”

She has also thanked the Academy for including her, saying that she would be so excited to open that shiny envelope. She added that she could not be more grateful to everyone who helped make this possible.

Oscar fever at a high

Along with Zegler, the addition of new names to the earlier announced list has sparked more excitement. Earlier, the Academy had outed a list with the names of Jennifer Garner, DJ Khaled, John Travolta, Lady Gaga, Samuel L. Jackson, Naomi Scott, Lupita Nyong’o, Stephanie Beatriz and others.

The Academy will present the awards to the best of the year, and leading the pack is Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer ‘The Power Of The Dog’ with as many as 12 nominations. Alongside is Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, with 10 nods.  It’s now over the Academy.
