YouTuber and Bigg Boss Winner Elvish Yadav Arrested in Snake Venom Case

Noida Police Detain Popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Connection with Snake Venom and Rave Party Allegations.

Noida: In a startling turn of events, Elvish Yadav, the famed YouTuber and winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, has been arrested by Noida police in connection with a case involving the alleged distribution of snake venom at rave parties in the National Capital Region (NCR). The arrest comes after months of investigation into a case initiated in November 2023, where several individuals were apprehended for their purported involvement in supplying snake venom during illicit gatherings.

The Noida police, acting on a tip-off from People for Animals, an NGO headed by BJP Sultanpur MP Maneka Gandhi, made the arrest of Elvish Yadav and five other individuals. The initial arrests took place in November last year at the Chevron banquet hall in Noida Sector 51. While Yadav was named as one of the accused in the First Information Report (FIR) filed at the time, he evaded arrest until now. Following extensive interrogation and evidence collection, the authorities finally apprehended him on Sunday.

Manish Kumar Mishra, additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Noida, confirmed Yadav’s arrest and stated that he would be presented before the court in due course. The case against Yadav and others revolves around allegations of shooting videos involving snake venom and live snakes, alongside organizing unauthorized rave parties in farmhouses across Noida and the NCR. The FIR further indicates the involvement of foreign nationals in these events.

The police’s raid in November 2023 yielded significant evidence, including snake venom, live cobras, pythons, two-headed snakes, and a rat snake. Forensic analysis confirmed the presence of krait venom among the seized substances. The FIR was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and The Wildlife (Protection) Act, reflecting the seriousness of the allegations.

Yadav’s arrest has garnered widespread attention, given his prominence as a YouTuber and his recent victory in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 2. Amidst growing scrutiny, Uttar Pradesh Environment Minister Arun Saxena emphasized that the law would be upheld regardless of the individual’s celebrity status. Meanwhile, Yadav has vehemently denied his involvement in the alleged supply of snake venom at the rave parties. In a personalized YouTube video released on November 4, he asserted his innocence and expressed readiness to surrender if proven guilty.

The case has been transferred from Noida’s Sector 49 police station to Sector 20 police station under the directive of Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh. As legal proceedings unfold, the public remains eager for further developments in this high-profile case, which has sent shockwaves through the entertainment and social media spheres.
