Haryana Sahitya Akademi is starting 14 new Yuva Shrestha Kriti Awards in different genres of Hindi and Haryanvi from the year 2021. The development was also confirmed by the Chief Minister’s Officer in Haryana.

As per the details, prize money of Rs 31 thousand will be given to the winners.

The ‘Yuva Writer Samman Award’ has also been increased to ₹ 1 lakh now.

In the current year, an award is also being started in the name of ‘Lok Kavi Dayachand Myna Samman’, in which the person who has done remarkable work towards the folk literature and culture of the state through Haryanvi dialect is being awarded.

“₹ 2 lakh will be awarded a prize under ‘Lok Kavi Dayachand Myna Samman’,” CMO Haryana tweeted.

It is worth mentioning here that after the approval of the chief minister, the Akademi recently announced the outcomes of the pending literary prizes (38), Shrestha Kriti Puraskar (37), and manuscript (Pandulipi) awards (75) for 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all of the prizes have been paid straight into the winners’ bank accounts.
