NEW DELHI — Realme is making a foray into the laptop market. Following a series of leaks and teasers, the brand has finally confirmed that its first-ever laptop, the Realme Book (Slim), would be launched in India on August 18 via an online event.
The firm will also debut its flagship smartphones, the Realme GT and the GT Master Edition, on the same day. Here’s all we know about Realme’s first laptop.
Realme Book (Slim) to debut in India next week
The Realme laptop and the new flagship phone will be unveiled in India during a virtual event beginning at 12:30 PM on August 18. It will be broadcast live on the company’s YouTube channel and other social profiles of the company.
Realme hasn’t released all of the device’s details, but it has hinted at some of them. The laptop is touted to have a slim and fashionable appearance and a combination of excellent performance, extended battery life, and fascinating features.
Its display is supposed to showcase “true-to-life details and rich colours,” as well as a comfortable aspect ratio for a better viewing experience. The gadget will also have USB Type-C and Type-A ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. It’s also likely that the body will be made of metal.
Fingerprint scanner and 65W fast charging?
The specs are unknown. However, there are leaks to explore. The laptop is expected to have a 14-inch display and would be powered by an Intel Core i5 CPU. The laptop may include 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The Realme Book also has a fingerprint scanner and supports 65W fast charging. The Realme Book (Slim) will cost less than Rs 60,000, making it more costly than the newly released RedmiBook.
