Netflix subscribers can now play games too on the streaming platform

As of now only Android mobile users will be able to access the games Netflix offers

If you are a Netflix subscriber and a gaming enthusiast, you are in for exciting times.  With the much popular streaming platform making its foray into the video games terrain, users will get to play a bunch of games on the platform.

Though the announcement came all of a sudden, gamers aren’t complaining. The video game library at the moment may be thin, but it is expected that more games would be added in the near term.

The games now offered on Netflix are not those that have been outed by the larger studios. But then, Netflix being more prominent in streaming movies and series, the gaming part needs to be seen as a welcome addition. And, the games currently added are those based on mobile platforms. They also come with a base subscription.

Netflix games available on Android mobile devices only

As mentioned, the games now added are for the mobile platform, and only Android users can play them. That means, if you are looking to play your Netflix games on PC or gaming consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox versions, you are in for a disappointment. iOS users also have to wait longer to lay their hands on Netflix games.

If you are a gaming freak, all you need to do is download the Netflix app on your Android device and subscribe to the streaming platform’s services. The app has been designed in such a way that a row has been kept aside dedicated to games.

More games to be added to Netflix games library

Gamers can pick any of the available games and they will then be redirected to the Google Play Store. The Netflix subscription will allow them to download the game and start playing. As nothing comes free these days, an initial subscription would be mandatory, and from then on it would not cost anything more.

Available games include five titles including Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game.

Android gamers on Netflix are now expecting more to come from the streaming major. Netflix would now be more sought after with the advent of games on its platform.  Apple users would now look forward to having their devices also enabled.

When would that happen is a mystery, though.
