Startups come together for first-ever IoT summit

Leading industry experts, investors, and Govt departments focusing on the IoT sector will present various opportunities at the summit

In what is perhaps for the first time ever, an IoT summit for startups is in the works. The Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is organising a summit on Internet of Things (IoT) on October 28 in the Kerala state capital with the aim of bringing together stakeholders who are beneficiary for the IoT products of startups.

 Planned as a one-day physical conference, leading industry experts, investors, and government departments focusing on IoT sector will expose various opportunities at the summit, and interact with startup promoters.

A critical enabler for driving digital transformation and unlocking operational efficiency, IoT is one of the key sectors that holds huge potential for promising startups with innovative ideas and scalable products. The summit will aim at bringing startups relating to all domains of technology on the IoT platform including smart cities, agritech, meditech, health and automobile.

IoT summit seen as significant

A KSUM source said that as IoT enables machinery and products to communicate with one another without the need for human intervention, the true value of data can be collected through better and faster decision-making, predictive analytics and automation.

Artificial intelligence advancements, combined with interconnected devices and real-time communication, facilitate exponential growth in the efficiencies fuelled by Internet of Things.

The nodal agency for the Government of Kerala to nurture entrepreneurship, KSUM has been working in a mission-mode to identify the key sectors that carry huge potential for development and scaling of innovative products and services in the state.  Stakeholders and interested parties in Internet of Things can register via iotsummit.startupmission.in. A pioneer in the field of startup ecosystem in India, KSUM has been in the forefront in leveraging the technological and innovative changes in a wide spectrum of fields.

Startup founders to meet

This apart, KSUM is also organising a meeting of founders of top startup ventures that flourished in Kerala’s robust startup ecosystem. The meet will see participants share their experience and insights at the 7th edition of the Startup Founders’ Meet planned by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) on October 29.

Joining the meet to take stock of the achievements of the ecosystem and share perspectives on taking the growth momentum forward will be KSUM CEO Anoop Ambika; Founder & Chairman of SciGenom Labs Sam Santhosh and Venture Partner of Unicorn India Ventures Robin Alex Panicker. The event is expected to set the stage for a fresh round of peer learning opportunities, startup talks and mentorship.
