{"id":92229,"date":"2020-11-18T12:07:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T06:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digpu.com\/?p=92229"},"modified":"2020-11-18T12:09:02","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T06:39:02","slug":"fifa-u-17-womens-world-cup-2022-to-take-place-in-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digpu.com\/sports\/fifa-u-17-womens-world-cup-2022-to-take-place-in-india","title":{"rendered":"FIFA U-17 Women&#8217;s World Cup 2022 to Take Place in India"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-india-to-host-fifa-u-17-women-s-world-cup-2022-which-was-set-to-happen-this-during-2021\" style=\"color:#04415c\">India to host FIFA U-17 Women&#8217;s World Cup 2022, which was set to happen this during 2021.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering the current worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and its continuing impact on football, the Bureau of the FIFA Council has taken various choices identified with FIFA rivalries, with India being given the facilitating rights for the FIFA U-17 Women&#8217;s World Cup 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2021 U-17 Women&#8217;s World Cup, which was planned to be held in India, has been dropped because of the Coronavirus pandemic. As to FIFA U-20 Women&#8217;s World Cup 2020 and FIFA U-17 Women&#8217;s World Cup 2020, FIFA said since the previous decision earlier this year to reschedule both tournaments to 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Although, due to COVID-19, FIFA Under-17 Women&#39;s World Cup 2020 India is canceled, I&#39;m grateful to FIFA for awarding the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/U17WWC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#U17WWC<\/a> 2022 to India again! I would like to assure that Govt will provide all the necessary support for a successful &amp; memorable World Cup\u26bd\ufe0f <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bUan7CNQdv\">pic.twitter.com\/bUan7CNQdv<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Kiren Rijiju (\u092e\u094b\u0926\u0940 \u0915\u093e \u092a\u0930\u093f\u0935\u093e\u0930) (@KirenRijiju) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KirenRijiju\/status\/1328776292343242752?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">November 17, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/digpu.com\/?s=FIFA\">FIFA <\/a>has been consulting with all stakeholders &#8211; including the host member associations, participating member associations and confederations &#8211; to continuously monitor the situation in relation to the pandemic, in particular with regard to any potential impact on the overall welfare and safety of age-group players and participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As a result and after careful consideration of the feedback received by the stakeholders combined with the inability to further postpone these tournaments, the FIFA-Confederations COVID-19 Working Group subsequently recommended that the 2020 editions of the two women&#8217;s youth tournaments be cancelled and that the hosting rights for the 2022 editions be offered to the countries that were due to host the 2020 editions,&#8221; FIFA said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In light of not being able to host the tournament next year, FIFA <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/U17WWC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#U17WWC<\/a> taking place in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/India?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#India<\/a> in 2022 comes as a delightful silver lining.
