The state\u2019s wedding destination campaigns are expected to be carried out before the current financial year draws to a close<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An ambitious bid to transform Kerala as a preferred wedding destination has been kicked off by the Kerala Tourism department. In this regard, financial sanction for three projects involving a total outlay of Rs 2.86 crore has been okayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The money will be utilised to begin digital and airport-based marketing campaigns to promote the state as an ideal wedding destination, highlighting its huge potential in this highly promising segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three projects, namely Destination Wedding Campaign – Airports Translites at a cost of Rs 1,39,24,000, Destination Wedding Campaign – Social media, Google search & Display ads, at a cost of Rs 39,33,334, and Promotion of Destination Wedding Microsite at an outlay of Rs 30,09,000, will focus on the state\u2019s inherent strengths that make it a global wedding destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huge potential for Kerala as ideal wedding destination<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These campaigns are expected to be carried out before the current financial year draws to a close.\u00a0 According to Kerala\u2019s Tourism <\/a>Minister P A Mohamed Riyas, Kerala has huge potential to emerge as an ideal wedding destination and it is going to be a major segment of our tourism. This is why the state tourism department is going ahead with a massive marketing campaign to position the state as an ideal Wedding Destination, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the \u2018Destination Wedding Campaign – Airports Translites\u2019 project, attractive digital display screens highlighting the state\u2019s attractions will be installed at the country\u2019s five major airports \u2013 Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, showcasing Kerala\u2019s strengths as a charming wedding destination before global travellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile the \u2018Destination Wedding Microsite\u2019 project\u2019 will have e-brochures prepared with eye-catching pictures of ideal wedding destinations and content in both English and Hindi. Also, online promotion of e-brochures and web pages will be done via Google ads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018Destination Wedding Campaign – Social media, Google Search and display ads\u2019 project seeks to give greater visibility through digital media to the unique ambience that Kerala offers as a wedding destination and make them easily accessible for searchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaigns will highlight Kerala\u2019s enchanting natural beauty<\/a>, rollicking beaches, serene backwaters, perfect weather and exquisite cuisine that make the state the best destination in the country for tying the knot.
