Living with less and being minimalist is a well-known hashtag on Instagram, and why not, as it is less stressful, economical, easier to clean, environment friendly and so on. And here comes the capsule wardrobe, to glam up our style with minimalism. Having a fewer number of items in your closet means not binge shopping and with fewer items in your collection, the daily outfit selection process is neither stressful nor time-consuming and all the money saved up ends in your saving account. The concept of a capsule wardrobe isn’t new since its introduction in 1970 by Susie Faux, a London boutique owner, but it gained its popularity in 2000.

In simple words, a capsule wardrobe is all about modifying your wardrobe down to your favourite pieces of clothing keep remixing them and shopping mindfully and intentionally allowing one to even have their own personal style. It is a collection that is created with a limited amount of clothing, shoes and accessories, which help to live simply, minimalistic and bring down decision fatigue. In a capsule wardrobe, one can have mostly 30 to 50 items that are used exclusively for a specific period of time. There is no such official, hard and fast set of rules rather a set of suggestions of fewer, chief pieces of clothing and most importantly personal styling; showcasing each person’s personality.
