Sana’a – Yemen’s Ansarullah Resistance Movement has expressed its readiness to deploy “thousands of trained combatants” to support Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement, amid rising tensions in the Middle East. The statement came from Nasr El-Din Amer, Vice President of Ansarallah’s Media Authority, during an interview with the Palestinian Shehab news agency on Monday.
“We will support them (Hezbollah) in the same way that we support our brothers in the Resistance in Palestine,” Amer affirmed, signaling a potential escalation of regional involvement in the ongoing conflict.
Since October 7, Yemen’s Armed Forces have conducted numerous strikes against Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories in response to the Israeli regime’s military operations in Gaza. Hezbollah, in parallel, has carried out hundreds of retaliatory strikes against Israeli forces, both in defense of Gaza and in response to Israeli aggression on Lebanese soil.
The Ansarullah official’s comments come as Israel continues to issue threats of broadening its military campaign into Lebanon, following weeks of intense fighting in Gaza. Amer specifically mentioned Yemen’s Yaffa drone, warning that it will not be used for isolated strikes, but as part of “ongoing operations until the aggression on Gaza stops.”
These developments align with Ansarullah’s previously declared stance, in which Yemen’s forces have vowed to persist in their strikes against Israel until the regime halts what they describe as genocidal actions in Gaza. The death toll in Gaza has reportedly reached at least 41,206 people, with the majority of victims being women and children, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian crisis.
Ansarullah’s commitment to both Hezbollah and the Palestinian Resistance highlights the growing unity among resistance movements in the region, as they band together to counter Israel’s military offensive. The Yemeni forces have also pledged to continue their actions until Israel lifts the crippling siege that has been imposed on Gaza, further intensifying the conflict.
With the situation in the Middle East deteriorating, the possibility of a broader regional war looms, as resistance movements like Ansarullah and Hezbollah prepare for deeper involvement in the fight against Israeli forces.
