Tehran Will Deliver ‘Stronger and More Crushing’ Response to Israel, Says Iranian President

Pezeshkian criticizes Israel's atrocities and Western double standards, calling for Muslim unity against the Zionist regime.

If Muslims had been united, the Zionist regime would not have dared commit such crimes, Says Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian

In a bold statement during a diplomatic visit to Qatar, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that Tehran will deliver a “stronger and more crushing” response to Israel should it make even the “slightest” mistake. Pezeshkian made this declaration on Wednesday in a meeting with a high-ranking delegation from the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, according to media reports.

The meeting followed Iran’s recent retaliatory military operation against Israel, dubbed Operation True Promise II, which targeted Israeli military and intelligence bases. This action was in response to Israel’s July assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, in Tehran.

Pezeshkian criticized the West for making what he described as “empty promises,” stating that Western nations had urged Iran to exercise restraint after the assassination in exchange for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to what he termed as Israel’s genocide against Palestinians. However, he affirmed that Iran had no choice but to respond forcefully due to the ongoing crimes committed by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon.

“The continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes made the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran give a decisive response,” Pezeshkian stated, condemning Israel’s actions and accusing the United States and its Western allies of hypocrisy. He argued that while these countries claim to support democracy and human rights, they continue to back Israel’s aggression.

“People’s lives, especially those of women and children, are of no value to them, and all their claims are lies,” he added, further intensifying the rhetoric against the West.

In his remarks, the Iranian president also emphasized the importance of unity among Muslim nations, suggesting that the division within the Muslim world has emboldened Israel to continue its actions. “If Muslims had been united, the Zionist regime would not have dared commit such crimes,” he said.

Iran’s Retaliatory Strike

A day earlier, Iran launched a barrage of missiles targeting Israeli military and intelligence facilities in retaliation for the assassinations of prominent figures, including Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC Brigadier General Abbas Nilforushan. Reports confirmed that sirens blared across Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities as flares and explosions lit up the sky.

“Direct hits” were reported in areas such as Negev and Sharon, intensifying tensions in the region. Pezeshkian reiterated that Israel’s actions had provoked the Islamic Republic, and Tehran remains committed to defending the rights of Palestinians and Lebanese against what he called “Zionist crimes.

As the conflict escalates, Pezeshkian’s remarks have further solidified Iran’s stance as a central player in the ongoing resistance against Israel, while amplifying calls for greater Muslim solidarity in the face of external aggression.

The situation remains volatile as the region braces for further developments.
